I’m doing my family tree and an ancestor of mine MARGARET ALMOND 1878-1945 was the 3rd wife of JAMES MARTLAND AINSCOUGH 1854 - 1937.
Margaret was the daughter of James Birkett Almond my 1st Cousin 5 x removed who owned The Almond Brewery company. I viewed an old article that said James Martland Ainscough is the father of SIR THOMAS MARTLAND AINSCOUGH which is correct.
The mother of Sir Thomas was MARY HALTON 1862-1888 she was James’s first wife. They married 6th October 1885. Jame’s second wife was JANE LANCASTER 1862-1907. They married 4th August 1894. Jame’s 3rd wife was as mentioned earlier MARGARET ALMOND 1908. I have a photo of them at STANDISH HALL, Standish Wigan.
